Aloha! Me again. Wow, I can't believe how close it is to Christmas! It's literally only a few weeks away, and I feel like I am rapidly running out of weekends to do my shopping... Totally organised I am... Will be doing most of it online me thinks! Today I went to an indoor Christmas market and it really put me in the festive spirit - there were Christmas songs blaring through the speakers, and lots and lots of stalls selling various decorations and wonderful presents. It was so fun, and I even bought a few cheeky goodies, mostly chocolate I'll be honest. ALSO on Friday I went to the most exciting film I've seen in a long time - The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2!!!!!!!! If you have not seen it yet, you're missing out. Go. Like now. It's okay, I'll wait for you to come back.
Anyhows, shall we get on with my review? I think so. Good idea.
This coconut oil is an absolute God send! I talked about it a little bit in my monthly favourites post if you wanna have a read of that here. Honestly I've heard so many amazing stories about this baby, I'm pretty sure it fixes just about anything. I use it mainly just for my hair, but it's great for your skin to. Especially if you suffer from a bit of eczema, apparently it should clear that right up! I don't so I can't comment on whether it actually works but I've heard that it does.
As you can see, there's quite a big gob missing out of the middle. I use it pretty much every week (or I try to at least). I rinse my hair through and give it a good brush whilst it's wet, it tends to get quite knotty so I try to get a few out but this works out the knots quite well so I simply coat this onto wet hair. My hair is pretty damaged from dying it so often and using maybe a little too much heat when I was younger. Tip kids, you hair doesn't need straightening every single day! I rarely use heat on it any more, I try not to even dry it with the hair dryer too much. Alas the damage has now been done so all I can do now is treat it. So I coat this on from about half way down my hair all the way to the tips, and I do mean coat it. I use a lot! It's quite solid so you need to really dig your fingers into it, massage it into your hands so if softens and then just rub it in. It smells divine as well just by the way. I tend to leave it then over night, give it a little of a brush through then maybe plait it. In the morning I wash it out and give my hair a good shampoo and condition. My hair has never felt so soft!! This stuff really does work wonders.
I do highly recommend it to anyone who may have damaged hair like mine, it is a really nourishing treatment and restores all that goodness that your hair needs. Through heat and dying it tends to lose a lot of moisture and rich oils, this replenishes it and honestly it's the best thing I've used. There are a lot of products out there which claim to revitalize damaged locks, but I'll be honest I've never really come across something that I love as much as coconut oil. Nothing compares.
I'd been after some for a while and my parents just happened to see this, I think they were at a food market somewhere, so they picked it up for me. You can literally cook with this and eat it as well, it's meant to be really good for you. See I told you it had multi purposes. I'm not sure how much it cost them but my friend also went out and bought one when I told her how good it was. She now raves about it as well. I managed to find it online here from Amazon if you wanted to order it for yourself, or just type "Vita Coco Coconut Oil" into google and I'm pretty sure quite a few come up. Definitely recommend this, it will not let you down.
If you do fancy trying it then go go go! Also let me know in the comments what you think of it if/when you do :) or if you already use it what are your thoughts? Do you love it as much as me?
Right I will leave it there I think, can only rave about a product so much - I could go on for hours if I'm honest, can't sing it's praises enough, but I will stop. Gonna go and catch up on some Celebrity Jungle I think. Love myself a bit of Ant & Dec. Have you guys been watching it? Who's your favourite? I think George is a cutie, and Lady C is super irritating but so entertaining at the same time. Don't know whether to love her or hate her...
Will love you and leave you, thank you for reading! Please like/comment/share if you enjoyed this and wanna see more. I'll leave my Bloglovin' link below as well, it's a super easy way to follow blogs you love. (wink wink, hint hint). Thanks guys!
Until next time
